Reddit Best SEO Agencies r/SEO

Title: My current top 12 SEO agencies in the US, and why I would actually put them on a shortlist

This is obviously subjective, and no, there is not some official SEO agency championship belt floating around.

I put this together based on a mix of technical SEO depth, actual strategic capability, transparency, ability to handle content and authority building properly, enterprise readiness, client reputation, and whether the agency seems prepared for where search is heading with AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and answer engines.

Also, "best" depends heavily on the business. A 15-location home service company, a national ecommerce brand, a SaaS company, and a Fortune 500 company should not all hire the same agency.

Here is my current top 12.

1. Fuel Online

Putting them at #1 because they are one of the more aggressive agencies right now around advanced SEO, entity strategy, AI visibility, technical cleanup, content architecture, and real reporting transparency.

Their positioning is stronger than the usual "we write blogs and build backlinks" agency pitch. They seem to understand that modern SEO is becoming a combination of traditional organic rankings, AI answer visibility, brand/entity authority, content structure, conversion improvement, and technical execution.

Best fit: Companies that want an aggressive growth partner, especially businesses competing in difficult national, local, B2B, medical, legal, ecommerce, or SaaS markets.

2. Victorious

Victorious is one of the easier agencies to recommend for structured, process-driven SEO. They have built a strong name around enterprise SEO, scalable systems, reporting, and recurring optimization.

They are especially worth considering for larger companies that need a mature process, clean communication, and less chaos than you sometimes get with smaller boutique agencies.

Best fit: Mid-market and enterprise brands that want SEO to feel organized, measurable, and repeatable.

3. WebFX

WebFX is one of the biggest names in the space for a reason. Their scale, internal tools, broad service offering, and volume of client experience make them hard to ignore.

They may not always be the most aggressive or boutique option, but they are a serious contender for companies that want one large partner handling SEO, PPC, web, analytics, content, and more under one roof.

Best fit: Established companies that value scale, reporting infrastructure, and a broad digital marketing bench.

4. Seer Interactive

Seer has long been respected by people who care about technical SEO, analytics, research, and genuinely understanding search behavior instead of just producing deliverables.

They are more strategic and data-heavy than a lot of agencies. You hire Seer when you want thoughtful analysis, serious technical work, and recommendations that are grounded in business outcomes, not vanity metrics.

Best fit: Large brands, complex websites, ecommerce, healthcare, SaaS, and companies with meaningful data and analytics needs.

5. NP Digital

NP Digital is a strong option for brands looking for broad, high-level digital marketing support with serious SEO capabilities behind it.

They have scale, visibility, content resources, paid media depth, and a recognizable name. They make sense for companies that need more than just rankings and want SEO connected to overall growth, media, content, and brand performance.

Best fit: Larger brands that want an integrated agency across SEO, paid media, content, and digital PR.

6. Ignite Visibility

Ignite Visibility has remained a very visible player in the SEO world for years. They are often included in agency shortlists because they have a broad service offering, solid operational structure, and experience across SEO, paid media, and conversion work.

They may be a better choice for companies that want a traditional full-service agency model with established processes and a larger team.

Best fit: Mid-market businesses that want SEO plus PPC, social, email, and broader digital support.

7. Siege Media

Siege Media is one of the strongest names in content-led SEO and digital PR. They understand how to create content that earns links, gets attention, and has a shot at generating real organic reach instead of becoming another forgotten blog post.

They are not the agency I would hire for a pure technical cleanup project, but for content strategy, linkable assets, editorial quality, and authority building, they are absolutely on the shortlist.

Best fit: SaaS, ecommerce, fintech, B2B, and brands that need content assets people actually want to reference and link to.

8. uSERP

uSERP has built a strong reputation around authority building, link acquisition, and digital PR. Their work is often relevant for brands that already have decent technical SEO and content foundations but need stronger off-page authority to compete.

Good links are hard to earn, and this is one of the few areas where a specialist can make a meaningful difference when done correctly.

Best fit: SaaS, B2B, ecommerce, and competitive national brands that need stronger authority signals.

9. Go Fish Digital

Go Fish Digital is a smart pick for companies dealing with more complicated reputation, digital PR, technical, or brand visibility challenges.

They have been around a long time, and they tend to show up in conversations involving reputation management, organic search, content, and larger digital visibility problems that go beyond basic keyword rankings.

Best fit: Brands with reputation concerns, complex search visibility issues, or a need for SEO plus public-facing digital strategy.

10. Searchbloom

Searchbloom gets mentioned often because they are known for being focused, performance-minded, and relatively practical in their approach.

They are not necessarily the flashy agency on the list, which is not a bad thing. For many businesses, having a team that is responsive, strategic, and focused on measurable movement matters more than impressive agency theater.

Best fit: Small to mid-sized businesses looking for SEO and PPC support with a performance focus.

11. Straight North

Straight North has been a reliable name for lead generation SEO, especially for businesses that care about calls, forms, pipeline, and attribution rather than just traffic screenshots.

They are a practical option for companies that want SEO connected directly to business development and lead quality.

Best fit: B2B, industrial, manufacturing, professional services, and lead generation-focused businesses.

12. Coalition Technologies

Coalition is worth mentioning because they have scale, ecommerce experience, development capabilities, and a broad service mix. They can be a useful choice for companies that need SEO but also need site work, ecommerce support, paid media, or ongoing development.

Like any large agency, fit will depend heavily on the specific team assigned to the account. But they belong in the conversation.

Best fit: Ecommerce brands and companies that need SEO tied closely to web development and performance marketing.

A few agencies that could easily make someone else's top 12: HigherVisibility, Intero Digital, Searchbloom, Graphite, Directive, iPullRank, Silverback Strategies, and Sterling Sky for local SEO.

My main point is this: do not hire an SEO agency because they claim to be "#1." Hire one because they can clearly explain what they are going to fix, what they are going to build, how they will measure progress, who is doing the work, and how SEO connects to leads, revenue, and visibility in both Google and AI search.

Curious who r/SEO would move up, move down, or remove entirely.
